Summary: The final match was held between South Africa and West Indies at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka. West Indies scored 245 runs with the help of a century from Philo Wallace. In response, the Proteas team achieved victory in 47 overs by four wickets

In the chase, India were cruising to victory having taken 5 wickets of the Kiwi team for 132 runs. However, Chris Cairns who came to bat at number 5 scored a magnificent century winning the game for his side.

Summary: The India-Sri Lanka final took place in Colombo, where Sri Lanka made 222/7 in 50 overs, thanks to half-centuries from Mahela Jayawardene and Russel Arnold. 

However, due to the heavy rain, disrupting India’s innings, and despite a reserve day, only 8.4 overs could be completed. As a result, the tournament ended with India and Sri Lanka being declared joint winners.

Unfortunately, the rest of the England batsmen failed to make a significant impact, resulting in a modest total of 217 runs in 49.4 overs. Wavell Hinds was the standout bowler for West Indies, claiming three crucial wickets. 

In response, West Indies successfully chased down the target, securing a thrilling two-wicket victory with seven balls to spare.

Summary: This was the first edition that took place in  India. The final happened between Australia and West Indies at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium. West Indies, batting first, were bowled out at 138 runs in 30.4 overs. 

Rain interruptions led to a revised target of 116 runs in 35 overs for Australia. Shane Watson and Damien Martyn rose to the occasion, crafting outstanding innings to guide Australia to a convincing 8-wicket victory in just 28.1 overs.

Summary: In the final match against Australia, the New Zealand team managed to score just 200 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs. In response, Shane Watson delivered an outstanding performance, hitting a brilliant century with 105 runs off 129 balls. 

The Australian team won their second title with a 6-wicket win.

In the chase, England kept losing their wickets at regular intervals, and India lifted the trophy with a 5-run win.

Summary: The final match was played between the rival teams, India and Pakistan. Pakistan chose to bat first and made a huge total of 338/4 in 50 overs. 

From their side, Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez played their best to make team Pakistan win. 

In chasing, India batting was not that good and they got dismissed for only 158 runs and lost the game by 180 runs.
